First news: I am officially employed! I'll be waiting tables part-ish time. Looking at four or five shifts a week...and I'm really excited. I got hired because my interviewer liked my personality, could see I would be good with the customers and thought I would fit in. How nice is that?? The place is close to home, it's a family/casual Greek diner and everyone I met seemed really nice. I start training tomorrow.
Now... that aside. I've decided to pull one of my stories from the backburner and put in on the front burner.
Last year, when I came home from PenguiCon, I sat and wrote 80,000 words in about a month's time. I was just that inspired.
But then I back burnered the story when I got to wondering if anyone would ever want to read it. See, it's pretty intense. Lots of BDSM (I was reading a really, really, really good but incredibly intense BDSM novel at the time, so I know that's part of what leaked into my story, but my boys... yeah. One likes to dish it out and other is just learning how great "sub space" can be.)
So. I have no idea if I'll really be able to sell this beast once it's done, but right now I need to see two magic words: "The End"
I've been so flighty, doing a paragraph on one story, a page on another, editing a third, that NOTHING is getting finished. If nothing else, *that* has got to stop.
Of course, this would be a great time for anyone who thinks they'd like to read a scortching hot, intensely emotional BDSM romance to give me a little encouragment! I like to think both my guys are lovable... but do people really want to read about leather and... well, more leather?
