New Day!

Feeling focused and more together today!  I went back to work on a story I started a while back (and I think I have the other one mostly sorted out... well, okay, there are a few places where I have little notes for myself like "AND HERE THEY GET UNDRESSED"... and my personal favorite "IT PUTS THE LOTION ON ITS SKIN OR IT GETS THE HOSE", no, Ted Levene (Levine?) isn't lurking over the pit, I just wanted to make a note to myself that the boys needed lotion at that very moment.... and it was getting late, so I was getting loopy.)

I have a real writing goal for the next few months: I want to have this new story finished and submitted (and hopefully accepted for publication) by the December 24th. So far, it's called "the Stray", but I'm pretty sure there's another book by the same name floating around in my genre, so I'll probably change it. It's another werewolf story, and probably going to be a novella or very short novel.

Why December 24th?  No, it's got nothing to do with Christmas. On December 24th, I'm doing my very first official Meet the Author/New Release chat for Dreamspinner Press!  I'll be talking more about that as we get closer to the date, but what you need to know, if you'd like to swing by and participate in the chat, too, is that you need to be a member of Good Reads (something you should be anyway, if you like books) and then join the Dreamspinner Press group:  http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/45452.  Its all free to join.

And I'm going to be giving extra incentive to folks to stop by and say howdy... because really, it's Christmas Eve Day. Lots of you will have the day off, and how many times can you listen to Uncle Joe tell the same ol' story? Excuse yourself from the festivities for half an hour and come talk to me!

In addition, I've just added a new venue to my calender of appearances for the year--check out the side bar. I'll be at Michigan Pagan Fest again this year. They're at the same great location, but they've changed the date to mid June (whoo-hoo, no tornado alerts this year!)

And on that note, I have WORK to do, today!
